


Keret has received the Book Publishers Association’s Platinum Prize several times, as well as the Chevalier medallion of France’s Order of Arts and Letters, the Prime Minister’s Prize, and the Ministry of Culture’s Cinema Prize. Keret is the author of The Seven Good Years Suddenly, A Knock on the Door The Girl of the Fridge Bus Driver Who Wanted to Be God Missing Kissinger and Gaza Blues. The University of Iowa Office of Research and Economic Development will host a lecture by Israeli author Etgar Keret at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 in Room 240 of Art Building West as part of the Creative Matters lecture series in collaboration with the UI Arts Advancement Committee.
